How to Apply

Preschool & Kindergarten Admissions

Parents of preschool and kindergarten students should:

  1. Complete the online application form 
  2. Submit a baptismal certificate copy (if Catholic) by mail or in-person
  3. Submit a birth certificate copy by mail, in-person or upload to registration site.
  4. Pay registration fee of $100 (non-refundable) by cash or check payable to St. John the Evangelist School and delivered by mail or in-person 
  5. Obtain a letter from your Catholic parish (if applicable) verifying your membership. (This is not necessary for parishioners of St. John the Evangelist parish.) 
  6. Applicants will receive a welcome letter by U.S. mail after all requirements are completed.

All preschoolers must be toilet trained.

To enter Pre-K 3, child must be 3-years-old by August 31.

To enter Pre-K 4, child must be 4-years-old by August 31. 

To enter Kindergarten, child must be 5-years-old by August 31 and complete Brigance Screening and/or Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. School Administration will coordinate testing after receipt of application. 


Grades 1-8 Admissions 

  1. Complete the online application form 
  2. Submit report cards and standardized testing results for the last 12 months by mail or in-person
  3. Pay registration fee of $100 (non-refundable) by cash or check payable to St. John the Evangelist School and delivered by mail or in-person
  4. Obtain a letter from your Catholic parish (if applicable) verifying your membership. (The School will verify St. John the Evangelist’s parishioners).
  5. The school's Advancement/Admissions Director will contact you to set up a shadow day for the student. 
  6. Applicants will be notified of acceptance status by U.S. mail after testing and all requirements are completed. 


Admissions Policy

Students are admitted to Saint John the Evangelist School according to space availability, using the following priorities:     

  1. Current Students
  2. Siblings
  3. Parishioners*
  4. Non-Parishioners. 

*Parishioner status includes families who attend mass and support any Catholic parish in the community. A letter confirming active membership must be submitted yearly if other than Saint John the Evangelist.
